There could be several reasons as to why this is the case with some people, no matter how interested and willing they appear to be in learning German. The good thing about this day and age is that, there are a number of remedies, not to mention natural approach to learning a foreign language without so much problems. One way is to use memory improvement techniques. A technique is called Mnemonic and a branch of this is called the Association method. It is a very popular and effective memorization and learning approach especially with foreign languages. This of course, does not exempt German. With Association, the words that are learned by the student goes hand in hand with an object or anything that is familiar to the student. For example, if thinking about the number elf which means eleven in English immediately brings you a thought of eleven elves; you have successfully made an association of two different words - one is German and the other, English. This is a simple technique but it helps a person learn German words and other foreign languages faster.
