The
Franke Global Leadership Initiative
(GLI) invites applications for a
Program Coordinator II
to provide administrative and operational support for the Frank GLI program.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Managing the program’s internal operating budget, including reconciling expenses, account funds and providing updated financial reports for the director.
Providing oversight of the Franke Fellow scholarship budget and scholarship allocation process through collaboration with Financial Aid, Business Services and the UM Foundation.
Coordinating Franke Fellow Scholarship student application process and application review process.
Developing website and social media platforms.
Determining online marketing strategies and recruitment strategy.
Designing orientation and advising trainings and materials.
Organizing and coordinating service and social events for program participants.
Building and maintaining relationships with students in the program through formal advising appointments, regular electronic communication and drop-in meetings.
Managing student compliance records for all aspects of the program.
Providing program director with data for program assessment purposes.
Communicating program progress with students and providing individualized plans for program completion.
Authenticating student certificate completion through degree audit system.
Designing and managing Moodle platform for program delivery.
Supervising and providing budgetary oversight for the program's student events.
Providing specialized information to internal and external customers.
Purchasing program supplies.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Demonstrated experience with program planning and administration.
Effective interpersonal, public relations, and communication skills, including the ability to work with a diverse population.
Demonstrated ability to plan events and develop special functions.
Ability to work with, organize and update large amounts of student data.
Effective written communication skills with the ability to write in a variety of formats suitable for the intended audience.
Demonstrated ability to perform tasks independently as well as a team member.
Effective time management and organizational skills with the ability to complete tasks while paying attention to detail.
Knowledge of and experience with CMS website management systems, online learning platforms, and social media tools.
Demonstrated skills in operating personal computers and a variety of software programs, including Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to learn new software.
Demonstrated ability to provide professional, positive customer service.
Ability to represent the programs to small and large audiences; ability to present information to others in a clear and concise manner.
Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work varied hours, including evenings and some weekends.
Ability to prepare and revise internal operating budgets, with strong attention to detail and the ability to perform financial work with minimal errors.
Minimum Required Experience
High School diploma and two (2) years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of higher education issues, traditions, and trends.
