Currently we are seeking an individual in the area of animal behaviour with experience of working with dogs in a welfare-friendly context. You will support the University’s activities in animal behaviour and welfare in both teaching and research environments by managing a database of pets and their owners, caring for these pets (mainly dogs) whilst they are on-site participating in behaviour and welfare related projects. Where applicable, training in specific techniques and processes will form part of your personal development plan.
As an applicant for this post, you will:
be dynamic and adaptable with a 'can do' approach
have a scientific background with experience in behavioural sciences
have excellent organisational skills and experience of working with spread sheets, databases and websites
demonstrate practical experience of having worked with dogs utilising welfare-friendly techniques
have a professional customer focused manner
demonstrate a dedication to working within multidisciplinary teams, and an enthusiasm for success
have an enthusiastic and flexible approach to work, working across school buildings as appropriate
The University of Lincoln is a visionary, ambitious institution and you will be working in the heart of a thriving, historic, safe, and friendly city. The Schools provide a stimulating environment for academic teaching and research, and are based in high quality facilities.
