EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Bachelor’s degree in education, human services or related field preferred.
· Experience working with diverse populations of youth a must.
· Experience in curriculum creation, classroom management, classroom facilitation, job coaching and other workforce development skill building.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality.
· Ability to work constructively and effectively with diverse staff and youth. Network with community leaders, agencies and organizations to support the work and engage youth from diversified backgrounds cultures and ethnicity.
· Openness to ongoing training, supervision, and professional growth and development.
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment
· Understanding of database systems and reporting practices
· Ability to work regular evening hours
Job Duties:
· Work in conjunction with local high schools to coordinate credit recovery education for youth. Coordinator will work in a remote office in the local high school and in our drop-in youth center.
· Coordinate opportunities for students to explore post-secondary options, career building, and career trades programs.
· Create and facilitate engaging and educational curriculums. Work in conjunction with education department heads for credit recovery outcomes and expectations.
· Track participant engagement and outcomes. Create and maintain case files for all clients on a timely basis.
· Works well individually and as part of the team to meet all program and funding benchmarks including recruitment, skill attainment, attendance, etc.
· Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with community and state agencies as well as local colleges and universities.
· Strong focus on essential skills building and workforce development skills for clients.
· Applicant needs to be a highly energetic and organized individual that works on the ground with youth daily.
· Work individually and in groups with clients and provide case management and follow-up services.
· Work with the school to identify students that would benefit from services.
· Promote leadership development, workforce development skills and employability goals for clients.
WORKING CONDITIONS:

· Requires on-site and off-site meetings
· Reliable transportation and valid drivers license required
· Once a week evening hours and some Saturday hours depending on the time of year.
