General Description of Position:
The Senior Director will oversee the implementation and outcomes of various Sponsored Programs and will provide leadership and oversight to all facets of the department and programs therein. This includes, but is not limited to, the TRIO program(s), the Nina Scholars Program, the Bowen Scholars Program, the Ignite (Former Foster Youth) Program and other programs/initiatives focused on student support through a cohort learning community delivery model.
The Senior Director will provide leadership and guidance for strategic planning, academic planning/identification, budget management, program assessment, staffing, grant management,, and internal and external engagement related to the specific grant program, as well as other duties aligned with the implementation and growth of the grant funded programs.
The Senior Director will work in collaboration with various Indianapolis campus departments including, but not limited to: Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Enrollment Services, and Development/Fundraising to accomplish the goals and metrics associated with each grant.

Responsibilities
Select, hire, facilitate training for, and provide direct supervision and leadership to all program leads (i.e. Directors, Managers, etc.) within the department.
Develop and manage Sponsored Programs department budget(s).
Assist each Director/Manager in managing sponsor relationships to ensure continued partnership and support of initiatives and programs within the department.
Collaborate with the development team to identify and secure additional funding sources (grants, gifts, etc.) that support the mission of the department.
Use demand-driven and voice-of-the-customer data to develop and implement strategies.
Establish strategic linkages with employers and associations within the economic sectors of which degrees and/or certificates are being offered within the department.
Lead the development and implementation of additional programs and credential offerings that align with the needs of the department, its students, and the Central Indiana community.
Conduct all activities within the established guidelines of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Ensure accuracy, integration, and compliance with applicable regulations.
Provide leadership for all data collection and report submission related to both internal and external stakeholder needs/requirements.
Collaborate with various departments such as marketing and communications, admissions, and academics to appropriately build awareness and promote the Sponsored Programs mission and initiatives in the community, both for student recruitment and community relations purposes.
Work as a team member across the academic divisions and student affairs departments to improve services to and retention of students.
Provide oversight for faculty identification and training for courses/programming within the Sponsored Programs offerings and other related initiatives.
Provide oversight and leadership for student recruitment efforts, including committees associated with the student selection process.
Principal lead in the assessment and development of appropriate wrap-around support services to students within the Sponsored Programs.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with experience in Higher Education Administration, Adult Education, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business, or a related field.
Progressive administrative experience in higher education administration, and three (3) years of supervisory experience required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to identify, attract, develop and retain talent on an organizational team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to travel, as needed, both regionally and nationally/internationally, for work-related duties.
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree with concentration in Higher Education Administration, Adult Education, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business, or a related field preferred.
