Description
Humana's Resolution Team (RT) is looking for an experienced Learning Design Lead to join the team working remote from anywhere in the US. The Learning Design Lead is a strategic leader who is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end learning program for RT, including creating and delivering a vision of training excellence for RT.
Responsibilities
The Lead is responsible for all functional/operational training needs for RT with primary focus on Medicare Appeals and Grievance new hire training design and delivery as well as curriculum/learning solution design for other new-hire and up-skilling needs including Commercial/Medicaid or other areas identified. Additional responsibilities include:
Analyze learning needs and partner with subject matter experts to provide input for course content
Ensure effective learning objectives are created and coordinate performance assessments to measure training effectiveness
Ensure course materials are current and relevant to training needs
Track and analyze the training programs effectiveness by examining learner's satisfaction levels, proficiency testing, and job performance improvement
Provide instruction and guidance to a team of Learning Design & Facilitation professionals
Utilize social media and collaborative tools to facilitate learning
Plan, organize, and develop training curriculum, materials, job performance aids and programs to meet specific training needs
Utilize consultative skills to commit projects and conduct needs analysis with clients to determine whether learning solutions are necessary or relevant
Advise executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance
Based on current guidance from the CDC, local and state governments, and Humana leadership related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak have extended travel restrictions until further notice. The policy will be reassessed as the situation warrants. Once these restrictions are lifted and in-person learning resumes this role could require up to 25% travel depending on business needs.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in education, instructional design or related field OR equivalent related work experience
5 years of experience in adult learning and training program design and delivery
2 years of experience leading or managing projects/initiatives
Prior experience working in a consumer-centric company leading the learning or related function
Demonstrated experience consulting with technical leaders and subject-matter experts to assess learning needs and designing learning solutions
Progressive business and financial analytics experience with a focus on learning strategies and adult learning theories
Skilled in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Sharepoint
Work at Home/Remote Requirements
Must ensure designated work area is free from distractions during work hours and virtual meetings
Must provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a workspace (Satellite and Hotspots are prohibited). A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) for optimal performance of is required
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in one of the following areas: Business Administration; Learning and Performance; Education; Human Resources, Organizational Design or Related field.
Prior demonstrated capability leading teams and developing and maintaining a dynamic and high performing team culture.
Work experience in a health care and / or Insurance setting
Experience with e-learning tools (Vyond, Articulate, etc.) for design
Experience with PowerBi or other data analysis and visualization tools
