JOB OVERVIEW
The University of Cincinnati Institute for Policy Research (UCIPR) is a unit of the University of Cincinnati Office of the Provost. The UCIPR's capabilities incorporate rigorous qualitative and quantitative applied research techniques with extensive experience conducting complex, large-scale surveys (telephone, web, in-person), program evaluation and community needs assessment, interviews and focus groups, and data analytics and visualization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*Implement and utilize evaluation tools for research projects. Assist with modification of protocols. May design evaluation tools. *Maintain quality improvement/control procedures, monitoring of data collecting procedures and protocols and documentation. *Provide training of research protocol, on equipment and proper data collection/research techniques. *Gather, review and analyze data. Coordinate the generation of support data for manuscripts and proposals. *May coordinate the development of research project reports. *Develop and maintain daily lab/staffing schedules. *Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) manuals and/or initiate new procedures as provided *Develop and maintain a database for all research customers and/or hours worked for each research project conducted. *Communicate appropriately to staff, research project directors/Principal Investigators, students, departments, and others as needed. Answer technical questions when appropriate. *Assign work; ensure proper workflow of the lab; act as lead worker.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
*Bachelor's Degree Degree in the appropriate field or discipline dependent on position. *Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
*Three (3) years of experience coordinating research or data collection. *Strong project coordination skills.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED
*Bachelor's Degree in social sciences, public policy, management or related field is required. *Three (3) years working in programming data collection software and/or data analysis. *Experience with Microsoft Office Suite software. *Experience with data collection software. *Demonstrated skills in quality control of research data. *Demonstrated skills in analysis of research data. *Skills in handling/coordinating multiple projects and deadlines.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
*Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands. *May require evening and weekend hours.
