The newly-formed School of Society and Culture is looking for an exceptional educator and researcher with expertise in Applied Forensic Science to join its Criminology subject area. The role involves the delivery of an exciting new applied forensics strand within the school’s Criminology and Policing portfolio of programmes, utilising our new multimillion-pound facilities that are launching in 2022/23, which include a state-of-the-art crime simulation suite. Based within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Business, theSchool of Society and Culture is a place of progression in a progressive world. You will have, or be close to achieving, a PhD in Forensic Science, Criminology, or a cognate discipline, with proven teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will be expected to deliver high-quality teaching in areas such as evidence recovery, preservation, and analysis, and crime scene science, and supply practical skills training in providing expert witness testimonies. You will join a dynamic, friendly, and supportive team and work in an energetic multidisciplinary environment that combines Anthropology, Criminology and Sociology and provides opportunities to develop innovative teaching and research across disciplinary boundaries.
