Faculty – Educator Track

School of Social Work

(Final rank and title commensurate with education and experience)

 

The University of Cincinnati School of Social Work is searching for two full-time faculty members who will contribute to the department’s teaching, service, and research missions, with a focus on teaching and service. This is a 12 - month per year position with rank commensurate with education and experience.

 

Position Responsibilities: This position is primarily responsible for teaching and service to the School of Social Work and College of Allied Health Sciences. Teaching and service responsibilities include, but are not limited to, course development, primary instruction of courses using both face-to-face and online delivery modalities; participation in student recruitment, retention, and admissions activities; participation in program committee work including program evaluation, accreditation tasks, and other activities as assigned by the Director of the School of Social Work.  While teaching and service are central to this position, scholarship activities consistent with the School’s faculty evaluative criteria and the mission of the program and the University are required.

 

Minimum Requirements:    

*Master of Social Work (MSW) *Two years post-MSW practice experience *Experience teaching social work courses at the undergraduate or graduate level using both face-to-face and online delivery modalities *Current knowledge and skill in the use of computer technology and educational learning management systems *Strong organizational skills; strong interpersonal skills including communication, problem solving, counseling, conflict management, and follow-through *Ability to work independently *Interest and ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team *Ability to assist with tasks assigned by School Director *Demonstrated commitment to cultural diversity, equity, and inclusion in practice, teaching, and service.

Addition Qualifications Considered:

*DSW, PhD in social work *Experience or expertise in practice with children and families, including child welfare, school social work, or children with special needs. *Experience or expertise in practice with diverse and vulnerable populations *Experience with First-Year Experience (FYE) programs    *Active in professional activities at local, state, and/or national levels *Demonstrated student mentorship experience *Knowledge of Quality Matters and experience in applying the QM rubric.
