JOB OVERVIEW
Accessibility Resources on our Clifton campus is seeking an Program Coordinator to organize daily operations and manage communications for the office, including the supervision of student staff. The program coordinator will utilize customer service skills to support service provision and general inquiry communication, and act as a liaison to students, potential students and families, faculty, staff and guests. This position will also be responsible for maintaining private and confidential student accommodation files in the online student accommodation file management system. The Program Coordinator will report to the Director of Accessibility Resources Clifton. While mostly an on-campus position, the coordinator will be eligible for a flexible work schedule during the academic year and a hybrid work schedule during summer semesters.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*Plan and coordinate program activities for a particular department or organizational unit. *Gather and analyze relevant data and run/coordinate the development of related reports. *Design and implement evaluation tools for programs. *Plan the scheduling of events for programs. *Act as liaison to students, faculty and staff. Respond to student, parent, academic administrative representative and public requests, questions and concerns. *May develop and design brochures, reports and other materials for publication to promote the department. *Assist in the development of policies and procedures. Review and analyze relative literature and consult with other units and community agencies concerning programs.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
*Bachelor's Degree. *Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
One (1) year of program coordination experience.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED
*Experience working with students or employees with disabilities in the educational or workplace setting. *Knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and its application in the university setting. *Demonstrated understanding of the higher education environment and in working collaboratively with faculty and staff. *Skills using Microsoft applications, particularly Excel. *Capacity to address emergent needs with also managing short and long term projects or tasks. *Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and successfully prioritize responsibilities. *Excellent interpersonal, organization, time management, and leadership skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
*Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
