The
Missoula College
invites applications for a
Construction Technology Instructor
to implement the mission, goals, and objectives of the related degrees, certificates, and workforce training of the discipline into the curriculum. The responsibilities of this position include, but aren’t limited to:
Teaching program courses with opportunities to teach both face-to-face or online.
Maintaining a high level of professionalism and responsibility.
Organizing and assigning teaching coursework for various classes and lab oversight, in consultation with the Program Director.
Maintaining accurate attendance and grading records for all courses.
Engaging in professional development opportunities on emerging industry trends, technology, teaching pedagogy, curriculum development, or other related areas as provided by the program.
Position Details:
This position is part-time, 0.75 FTE, Faculty, Adjunct during the academic year (10 months) and includes a comprehensive and competitive benefits package
including insurance package, mandatory retirement plan and wellness program.
Salary for this position ranges from $38,000/year- $41,000/year and is commensurate with qualifications.
Required Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High energy level.
Ability to engage students.
Strong orientation to safety in the workplace.
Relevant industry experience related to the discipline with industry recognized certifications or credentials, journeyman completion, or other industry licensure knowledge.
Experience using Microsoft Office programs like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Minimum Required Experience:
Associate’s Degree or a minimum of six (6) years related industry experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or other terminal degree
Experience teaching or training, either formally or on the job.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of industry codes.
Knowledge of major industry recognized credentials.
Knowledge of the opportunities and pathways available within the industry for entry level candidates.
