Description:
Our Advanced Clinical Practice provision is expanding as Health Care Professionals from diverse backgrounds are proving increasingly critical to the provision of high-level care in the NHS. Having recently achieved accreditation with HEE, and as current holders of RCN accreditation, we are expanding our team to meet this need. We are looking to recruit suitably qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioners to further develop and enhance our programmes, particularly in clinical skills and clinical decision making. We offer an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice, both an apprenticeship and standard route, and the clinical aspects of the programme are also taught to students on a variety of other programmes. You would be committed to providing students with innovative and high-quality learning experiences. We are a diverse team and work very closely with each other and within the school to ensure we maintain quality in the classroom and enthusiasm and passion for the student experience. As a training role you will be inducted and closely mentored through familiarity with the course, the taught material, and its delivery. We are looking for a clinician with a passion for teaching and enthusiasm for Advanced Clinical Practice. We encourage applications from highly motivated individuals, who hold current registration with either the Nursing and Midwifery Council or Health Care Professions Council and have a Higher Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice. You will have experience as an Advanced Clinical or Nurse Practitioner and Prescriber. Teaching qualification is preferred but the role is developmental and achieving experience and qualification in teaching practice will be supported within the role. With its vision to be the provider of choice of first-class contemporary education, informed by research and innovation, the School of Nursing & Midwifery is establishing a unique innovative engagement across clinical partners through the embedding of research focussed academic units in local NHS Trusts to drive forward co-produced clinical research, promote inter-professional working, embed evidence-based learning in practice and offer a framework for clinical academic careers. We will consider full and part-time candidates. Maintaining clinical practice validates clinical teaching and, hence, 0.5 WTE roles are available. This role will require an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check plus Adult and Children Barred List checks. We would encourage all interested candidates to arrange an informal discussion with Dr Colin Roberts, Associate Professor, Advanced Clinical Practice by email colin.roberts@plymouth.ac.uk or telephone 07828 976253. Interviews are expected to take place Monday 28 March 2022. You will be notified if you have been shortlisted by the 18 March 2022.
