Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Learning Strategy to be an innovative, collaborative team member in the Learning & Performance function that contributes to strategic objective attainment and business performance improvement. In this role you will manage all aspects of the relationship between the L&P team and Business leaders in support of the Company's strategic initiatives. This individual will also serve as the 'face of learning' for leaders across their assigned sphere, including socializing the impact that the L&P org has had on business outcomes and organizational strategy, and anticipating & consulting on future learning requests. L&P is part of the Strategic Operations team which drives Effectv's Company Operating Plan efforts, and this position will report directly to the  Senior Director, Learning & Performance. An ideal candidate for the L&P function is agile and intellectually curious; able to influence and provide thought leadership in their domain of Learning; and effectively navigate ambiguity and drive business outcomes with a business performance-centric mindset. The individual must demonstrate business acumen and possess a passion for learning and driving a culture of organizational learning. Additionally, the ability to build outstanding and constructive working relationships with key stakeholders and foster an inclusive environment will be critical. All L&P team members will need to demonstrate these skills to ensure we collectively deliver optimal business value and customer impact.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Lead individual, large-scale learning projects and coordinate across the org to deliver on those projects through Needs Analysis, Instructional Design, Content Curation, Delivery and Impact Measurement/Reporting

Operate as a highly valued and embedded partner to understand the business strategy and articulate the impact of learning needs towards achieving outcomes

Assess strategic learning needs, consult with business leaders in the organization for alignment, and then define & drive a strategy to deliver on those needs

Act as an integrator and knowledge broker across business/functions to maximize the impact of learning strategy and deliverables

Foster an inclusive environment of continuous learning and development

Create strong working relationships with peers and business leaders across the enterprise including Sales, Operations, HR, Product and Planning & Monetization

Support transformative change efforts across the enterprise

Summary of Requirements

Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of related experience

8 years of Human Capital consulting experience

8 years of end-to-end Project Management experience with ability to drive project activities even when resources are limited

Experience designing and implementing learning strategies with a focus on improving business results, leadership capability, talent strategy and organizational learning, preferably in an advertising company

Ability to demonstrate application of end to end Learning Methodologies (from Business Strategy/Needs Analysis to Impact Measurement/Reporting)

Previous Consulting experience a plus

Advertising industry a plus or high drive to quickly learn the industry and demonstrate value within the first 90 days in role

Requirements (Must Have)

Learning & Development Expertise: applied expertise in Learning, with a high degree of competency with adult learning principles and learning models; experience in curriculum development, instructional design, planning, facilitation, and implementation of efficient learning solutions; proven success developing learning strategy and aligning leadership support

Project Management: Significant end-to-end project/program management experience in successfully conceptualizing, planning, managing, delivering, and monitoring multiple, concurrent, and complex workstreams in a matrixed organization with aggressive timelines

Storytelling: ability to socialize and adapt our learning value story to leaders at all levels of the organization

Consultation Skills: consult with business/function leaders and influence their thinking on business challenges and alignment to potential learning interventions. Established track record for taking a consultative approach to designing and delivering innovative learning programs with measurable business results that meet stakeholder needs.

Strategy Development & Execution: demonstrated ability to develop and drive learning strategy in partnership with business leaders to positively impact business outcomes and work environment

Business Acumen: understands the strategic business needs of the company and the impact of learning on meeting the development needs of employees to best serve our customers; leverages external marketplace research and business insights to drive outcomes

Analytical Skills: Demonstrated analytics experience; ability to analyze and synthesize both quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources to identify themes and develop compelling recommendations. Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and present data-driven insights and trends. Strong critical thinking ability to identify interdependencies between issues, data, and outcomes. Proven ability to communicate ideas and insights in person, virtually, and in writing, succinctly and with impact, understanding what is relevant vs. what is noise to audiences at all management levels

Influence with Impact: successfully affects / influences leaders and employees to adopt innovative learning solutions that drive business outcomes; possesses a consultative mindset and leverages a combination of impeccable verbal and written communication skills, highly developed emotional intelligence, and data fluency to drive decision-making

Relationship Building and Interpersonal Skills: builds outstanding and constructive working relationships with key stakeholders and business leaders at all levels across the organization, as well with peers and colleagues; organizationally savvy with a learner-centric mindset; desires to collaborate and successfully operate across the organization

Preferences (Nice to Have)

Advanced degree or certifications in Organizational Behavior, Human Capital, Instructional Design, Industrial / Organizational Psychology, or related field

Experience leading and delivering strategic communications and change management strategies

Leadership experience working in learning and development or talent management organizations
