Description:

We are looking for someone to fill a 0.8 FTE permanent position (job shares will be considered) on our popular undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes. This role sits across teaching on our MA Education, PGCert SENCo Award and BA Education programmes. You will have professional experience and confidence to teach, tutor and assess across these programmes. Crucially applicants need to be confident and experienced to work on a range of modules at UG and PG level and to have an appropriate pedagogic approach to support and enthuse students in their taught modules and research based assessments and dissertation. Based within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Business, the Plymouth Institute of Education (PIoE) has a strong reputation, both nationally and internationally, for the quality and scope of its teaching and research. PIoE delivers a suite of programmes including BA undergraduate programmes, undergraduate and postgraduate ITE, as well as post-graduate, Masters and doctoral programmes. Research in PIoE is both excellent and highly distinctive with its lifelong and life-wide approach; foregrounding the vital role learning plays in society and culture. We would expect the appointed lecturer to help and collaborate with other staff members in the Institute and in our partner agencies. You will be research active and seeking to use this opportunity to gain experience to further develop their career by engaging in leadership, teaching, research and development opportunities and projects that may lead to further research or publication in well regarded journals.
