CURRENT UC EMPLOYEES MUST APPLY INTERNALLY VIA SUCCESSFACTORS > HTTP://BIT.LY/UCEMPL

YOU ARE INVITED TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A POSITION WITH MORE THAN ONE OPENING. THE NUMBER OF POSITIONS VARIES DEPENDING ON THE NEEDS OF THE DEPARTMENT.

Founded in 1819, the University of Cincinnati embarks upon its third century - building on the past and defining the future by leading urban, public universities into a new era of innovation and impact through its strategic direction, Next Lives Here. Underscoring the power of creativity, ingenuity, invention and inclusion, what's Next will accelerate our unrivaled momentum, evidenced by eight straight years of record enrollment and rankings that include placement among America's top 100 public universities by U.S. News & World Report. Home to a diverse student body of nearly 47,000 and more than 4,200 distinguished faculty, the university combines its Research 1 (Very High Research Activity) Carnegie Classification with a physical setting that The New York Times recently acclaimed as the most ambitious campus design program in the country.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The University of Cincinnati (UC) is classified as a Doctoral University, Highest Research Activity, by the Carnegie Commission. The College is part of a comprehensive research institution that is the second largest state university in Ohio, with a total enrollment of over 46,000 students. The Lindner College of Business enrolls approximately 4,000 undergraduates, 900 master's students (includes online), and 45 doctoral students, and our programs are fully accredited by the AACSB.

Cincinnati combines small-town friendliness with all of the advantages of a big city. It offers both an affordable cost of living and a vibrant downtown district filled with events and attractions, including professional sports, a world-class zoo, and an aquarium right across the river. The University is strategically located in a diverse business environment that includes more Fortune 500 companies per capita than New York, Los Angeles, Boston, or Chicago. It also has a thriving arts community including a ballet, opera, art museums, symphony, and theater.

Our faculty members are actively engaged in research and have published in the leading journals, among them: Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Organizational Research Methods, and Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice.  In addition to research, our Department has a strong commitment to quality teaching.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Department of Management of the University of Cincinnati's Lindner College of Business is seeking applications for two tenure-track, open-rank faculty positions in the area of organizational behavior, which begin in Fall 2022. Rank is commensurate with credentials.

The Department is home to two active centers that provide faculty with opportunities for research data collection and networking in these areas: The Center for Entrepreneurship and the Goering Center for Family and Private Business. Lindner's Center for Entrepreneurship is closely linked to the 1819 Innovation Hub and Digital Futures, which are part of the larger Cincinnati Innovation District, home to numerous Fortune 50/500 corporate partners.
