The IT function at Plymouth has established a reputation for excellence and is well respected within the institution. We plan to build on this reputation over the coming years with a large investment plan to deliver our newly agreed Digital Strategy. The University is now seeking to appoint a Head of IT Service Operations to be part of a high performing leadership team and lead the function which is responsible for all of our customer relationships. You will ensure the function has the right people, skills and ways of working to deliver effective services for our University. Reporting to the Director of IT, you will play a significant leadership and management role in the life of the University. With direct leadership responsibility for the institution's IT customer facing teams, including first and second line, AV support and Business Partnering teams, the Head of IT Service Operations will be expected to demonstrate experience of managing support and technical teams. You will also have a strong understanding of the business processes that underpin an organisation focusing on the role of the information provision.
