About SUNY Delhi:

The Delhi Campus Child Care Center (DC-4) is a not for profit corporation licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). DC-4 was established in 1985 to serve the childcare needs of SUNY students, staff of SUNY Delhi (CADI, DC4, Research Foundation, or anyone who works on campus), and New York State employees. Enrollment is also open to the community. A Board of Directors representing these constituencies governs the Center.

DC-4 is located at 1104 Arbor Hill Road on lower campus just past the Delhi College Farm and Decker Auto lab. The state-of- the- art facility was completed in the spring of 2012 and includes: 5 classrooms, 4 large playgrounds, kitchen, large indoor gym and library and parent resource area. DC-4 is licensed to serve 85 children ages 6 weeks-12 years.

The Delhi Campus Child Care Center, Inc. is in partnership with DelArc's Carousel Children's Services

. Carousel Children's Services program provides a variety of individualized services to children, birth to age 5. Special education teachers and therapists work individually with each child and their parents. Carousel sponsored children attend DC4 during the Delaware Academy Central School District at Delhi calendar plus a 6 week summer program. Up to twenty-four Carousel children are integrated into the two preschool programs. DC4 staff and Carousel staff work collaboratively to develop a program that ensure the needs of all the children are met.

Job Description:

DC-4 welcomes applications for a Classroom Assistant to join our center.

The Classroom Assistant will assist the classroom teaching staff daily in classroom operations. In addition, the Classroom Assistant will help in maintaining an orderly learning environment. The Classroom Assistant must at all times maintain confidentiality of information regarding personnel, families, children, and program matters.

Requirements:

Must be organized and pay attention to detail

Enjoy working with young children

Must be able to maintain the confidentiality of information regarding personnel, families, children, and program matters

High School diploma

Preferred qualifications:

Associate Degree in Early Childhood, or related field

Child Development Associate (CDA) credential

Additional Information:

Salary: $12.50/hr

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday
