The
Missoula College
invites applications for a
Temporary Dual Enrollment Specialist (Admissions Evaluation I)
This position works under the Dual Enrollment Director to provide support for Dual Enrollment activities at Missoula Colleges and in regional high schools. The individual assigned to this position will supervise student employees.
Essential Duties:
Oversees the digital displays in each high school and add new content regularly to ensure there are multiple ways students will learn about Career and Technical Education opportunities and Dual Enrollment.
Creates and updates an online dual enrollment student orientation and uses digital media attractive to high school students.
Creates and updates a faculty affiliate and liaison onboarding process using course management programs.
Provides in-depth advising to dual enrollment students, parents, as well as traditional and non-traditional students on career and technical education pathway opportunities.
Plans and executes various career exploration events.
Represents the University of Montana Missoula College at regular high school visits, regional, state, and national trainings, meetings, and conferences.
Plan and participate in teacher trainings, workshops and student visitation days.
Maintain professional ethics and confidentiality of students in accordance with applicable laws and policies
Assist in completing the Perkins Reserve (Career Pathways) grant, as well as the yearly application and quarterly and annual reports.
Other duties as assigned.
Upon completion of training, incumbent will have developed a working knowledge of:
Considerable knowledge of Dual Enrollment policy and procedures.
Local, state, and federal laws affecting the Perkins Reserve grant.
Ability to apply problem-solving techniques to complex issues.
Vast network of community, faculty, and higher education representatives.
Required Skills
Ability to network, collaborate, and problem solve with diverse groups and individuals.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects or change priorities quickly and frequently.
Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form.
Ability to present to small and large audiences.
Ability to design and present career and special topic presentations.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, as well as at least two (2) years of related work experience; or any combination of experience and education that would provide the competencies required to successfully discharge the duties assigned to this position.
Working knowledge of applicable UM policy and procedures.
