As an Administrative Assistant/Assistant Administrator you will provide routine administration to assist in the delivery of research activities. As part of an enthusiastic and efficient team, you will offer practical support to allow a range of important research projects to deliver improved health in the UK and globally. You will be responsible for providing support to various projects within the group. There will be developmental opportunities in which to broaden experience, whilst offering a high quality administrative service. You will have the ability to produce a range of standard documents accurately and to deadlines, and to work with attention to detail. This role is key in helping to organise and support meetings, along with diary co-ordination using Microsoft Outlook, and producing papers for events. Good time management skills are essential with the ability to communicate openly and effectively with other team members. Applicants must have numeracy and literacy at secondary education level (or demonstrable equivalent experience), along with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook and databases. You will have an NVQ Business Administration Level 2/3 or equivalent, or equivalent demonstrable experience. Minute taking experience is desirable as frequent meetings take place within the group, accurate records of these meetings are often needed. The post is temporary for 24 months, due to funding. It is working 34 hours per week at Grade 2 or 22.2 hours per week at Grade 3, and the working pattern is negotiable.
