University of Montana Campus Dining invites applications for multiple
Culinary Associates/Cooks
to join our team at the Food Zoo. As part of the team, you’ll be responsible for, amongst other duties, accurate and proper preparation, production, and presentation of hot and cold foods for our daily menus. You’ll also act in a lead capacity by training and supervising student employees in safe food handling, sanitation and cleanliness, and proper storage.

Required Skills
Ability to use standard recipes and a variety of cooking techniques to prepare multiple recipes simultaneously
Ability to follow CBORD recipes
Ability to create specialized menus as needed for guests with allergies or specialized dietary requirements
Knowledge and experience using numerous pieces of standard food service equipment
Must be management ServSafe certified within one year
Working knowledge of standard HACCP, federal and state sanitation requirements
Minimum Required Experience
Associate’s degree in a culinary, hospitality, or foodservice management program or a directly related field and a minimum of two years of related and transferrable cooking experience in a high-volume, progressive foodservice operation; or an equivalent combination of education and experience necessary to carry out the duties of the position
