The Department of Family and Community Medicine is seeking a full time Research Assistant. This position would assist Family Medicine faculty in an academic primary care health department setting with community-engaged research projects related to health equity and health disparities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*Manage the details of several different grant and education projects *Assist with steps of the research process *Recruit and maintain relationships with participants at clinics & community sites *Administer surveys and conduct interviews and focus groups online, by telephone and in-person *Assist with writing sections of grant proposals *Meet deadlines for grant reporting *Willingness to learn or understands community-based participatory research
REQUIRED EDUCATION
*Bachelor's Degree. *Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Additional related work experience may be required depending on field or discipline.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED
*Knowledge of Microsoft Office and reference software such as Refworks or Endnote *At least 1 year working in social science or clinical research setting is desired *Bilingual, English-Spanish, is ideal
