ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Biomedical Engineering currently has 15 full time faculty, 11 of which are tenured or on tenure track, and an enrollment of about 400 undergraduate and 35 graduate students. The Department offers an ABET-accredited undergraduate program in Biomedical Engineering. The department also has graduate programs that confer Master of Science, Master of Engineering, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. The Department has research focus areas in Medical Device Design, Medical Imaging and Bioinformatics, and Regenerative Medicine and Biomechanics.

JOB OVERVIEW
The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) in the College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) at the University of Cincinnati invites applications for full-time tenure-track faculty positions with the possibility to begin as early as August 15, 2022. Salary and startup funding to be commensurate with credentials.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*Conduct research in bioinstrumentation and control or conduct research in biomedical data sciences, including application of machine and deep learning. *Teach graduate and undergraduate engineering courses specific to their expertise in bioinstrumentation and control or the data sciences. *Develop externally funded research programs. *Publish research results in peer-reviewed journals. *Advise graduate and undergraduate students. *Participate in service with professional societies (e.g., committee membership or editorial review) *Participate in curriculum and course development
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Prior to effective date of the appointment, candidates must have a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field.
