Job Description:
Full-time, year-round position responsible for assisting the Registrar with managing customer service and enrollment processes. Manages the Welcome Center/front desk area, including the college switchboard, and scans/indexes documents. Assists with functional enrollment of Corporate and Community Education department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Exhibits good communication skills and cooperation with all college staff as a supervisory member of the Student Services Team.
Exhibits knowledge of records rules/regulations, and assists in the training of college staff pertaining to these rules/regulations and procedures, and related data entry requirements.
Maintains awareness of college, state and federal regulations, pertaining to the function of admissions and records and assists in meeting and maintaining these regulations including verification and editing of required reporting at each level.
Monitors department processes and staffing to ensure excellent customer service for students and college operations. Manages the Welcome Center/front desk area, including college switchboard. Advises the Registrar on recommendations and needs in this area.
Acts as direct liaison on behalf of Registrar and assists Corporate and Community Education department with the following: maintaining knowledge of all CCE offerings, providing general program information to students and potential students, developing and maintaining an electronic waitlist and prospect database, registering students, attending weekly CCE department meetings, scheduling CCE classes in Banner, (room reservations, reserving books) and providing certificates to completers when notified by CCE department.
Assists with Radius CRM recruiting and admissions operations processing including: application completion; document tracking; admission letter distribution; systems training; and data quality maintenance.
Assists in all aspects of international student admissions and acts in the role of DSO for SEVIS.
Assists the Assistant Registrar, Admissions and Records, with admissions application processing to include scanning/indexing as needed on a daily basis.
Assists with graduation activities and end-of-term processing as needed.
Provides data analytics as needed
Assists with the scribing, maintenance, tracking, production and editing of Degree Works degree audit plans.
Works closely with the Institutional Effectiveness department in developing analytical and detailed reports and serves as lead person responsible for creating student-related reports.
Assists in the development and implementation of upgrades to the integrated student data system and Banner-related products.
Assists as needed in the registration process and evening staffing.
Enforces the requirements of the Family Rights and Privacy Act as it affects release of confidential information contained in student records.
In the absence of the Registrar, assists in the supervision of Registration/Records staff.
Responsible for providing support and technical assistance to faculty, staff, and student end-users on the Banner database system.
Contributes to unit planning, assessment, and college institutional effectiveness efforts.
Acts in accordance with College policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Educational:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Education, or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
Experiential:
Computer experience, including word processing, spreadsheet, database analysis, and report writing required. Experience working with student records strongly preferred. Experience in an educational environment preferred.
Other:
Experience in systems analysis, process assessment, and in the use of computer systems as related to Student Services functions preferred.
