We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, well-organized individual to the post of Senior Information Adviser (Library Systems), who will work under the direction of a Service Operations Manager and contribute to the delivery of a customer focused, cost effective and efficient library and digital support service. Based at the Charles Seale-Hayne Library (at our city centre campus) you will provide a broad range of systems development, support, training and process improvements for the in-place and emerging library systems and associated services. You will also play a key role in evaluating, configuring, implementing, and integrating software and technologies that align with our services. Duties and responsibilities include: Working closely with the library systems manager to configure, develop, maintain and support the library systems and associated software-based applications Collecting, collating and presenting statistical based analysis of services and their use Documenting processes and procedures for the library systems, ensuring that they are reviewed and updated regularly Participating in stakeholder engagement and working closely with both internal service providers and external suppliers Providing a resilient and reliable service Providing specialist expertise and knowledge in the development and support of emerging and in-place library systems and technologies Taking an active role in discussions, meetings, projects etc. Being motivated to carry out self-directed learning and investigations Continuous professional development You will have effective communication skills, experience of working within a team, of sharing skills and knowledge to develop others and/or providing training for a team. You will have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail with excellent IT skills, a good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (in particular, Microsoft Excel), SQL and system administration. Knowledge of the use of Business Intelligence Software i.e., Oracle OBIEE and Power BI would be useful, but is not essential and training can be provided as required. You may be asked to contribute to the delivery of services in other operational areas of the library as required. You will be able to work both collaboratively and independently, prioritizing workloads and deadlines to meet demands.
