General Description of Position:
The Director of Career Coaching & Special Projects leads the implementation and strategies for student-facing career coaching. Reports to the Vice Chancellor of Workforce & Career Development and works collaboratively with the AYD Director, Director of Workforce Training, Employer Consultants, Academic Advisors, Deans, K-14 teams, Student Success teams, Diversity Equity and Belonging, and other campus leaders to develop collaborative strategies to support Campus goals to increase enrollment, retention, completion, and placement. This position will also work with external partners to build strategy, program implementation, and alignment to yield employer engagement experiences and career experiences.
Major Responsibilities:
Oversees career coaches and special projects by providing professional development, evaluation/feedback, and coaching support. Lead weekly meetings and monthly meetings with support of AVP Career Coaching and AVP of Student Talent Pipeline.
Builds implementation strategies with VC of Workforce & Career Development to develop Ivy Career Link priorities to increase student engagement in 1-1 career coaching, group coaching, student workshops, career fairs, internships, career assessments, and other student and employer activities.
Assist with developing, tracking, and evaluating college and campus level metrics including work-and-learn activities, coaching appointments, student related presentations & workshops, and other metrics in alignment with Ivy Career Link statewide model and as determined by the Vice Chancellor of Workforce & Special Projects.
Supports tracking of data within Ivy Advising, HireIvy, Ivyforce, and other campus platforms to inform trends and build strategies with an inclusive lens to support diversity, equity, and belonging of students and employer partners.
Drive collaboration with faculty and staff to increase student engagement, support Career Development Portfolio completion and create focused initiatives to support students high risk students.
Execute campus strategy to support Ivy Career Link model during student orientation opportunities, K-14 outreach activities, Academic Affairs teams, Enrollment, and Student Success teams, and Diversity, Equity and Belonging team. Collaborate to inform internal campus teams of activities and data trends to support campus metrics and goals.
Develop communication and work with marketing teams for employer events, career fairs, and campus teams.
Attend pertinent meetings at the request of Vice Chancellor of Workforce & Career Development.
Collaborate with local, regional, and state-wide stakeholders to create new partnerships and maintain high level of service to existing partners.
Support in the hiring and onboarding of career coaches and grant funded roles while supporting professional develop opportunities.
Monitors career coach activities and ensure events are planned and executed timely.
Helps connect College programs with employer work-and-learn experiences, improve student usage of related placement tools and increase the number of students placed in work-and-learn experiences. Ensures the student completes at least one work-and-learn experience by the completion of 45 academic credit hours.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required;
A minimum of five (5) years related experience in career experiences, such as work-and-learn and placement, required.
Must demonstrate ability to promote an inclusive environment that reflects the broad diversity and backgrounds represented by our students and employees and which every individual feels respected and valued.
Demonstrated skills and abilities to concurrently manage numerous tasks, some with conflicting priorities required.
Must have excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Commitment to student learning outcomes, staff development, and diversity required.
Must be able and willing to travel to and from campuses and professional development activities.
Ability to work within an entrepreneurial framework and scale a large project required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree required.
