This is an exciting opportunity to join the University’s External Relations team, working in one of its Faculty-facing Marketing and Recruitment teams, in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Business. This team provides outreach and marketing support for the Faculty’s four Schools - Art, Design and Architecture, Plymouth Business School, Plymouth Institute of Education and Society and Culture. Working alongside another Faculty Outreach Officer, and closely with the central outreach and wider External Relations teams, you will develop and contribute to the delivery of a range of resources and events at a subject, School and Faculty level, to inform and inspire prospective students. You will: Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as academics, schools, colleges, parents and external organisations Address issues affecting access by those from under-represented groups in higher education, as part of our University Outreach and Widening Participation Strategy Maintain an area of expertise in faculty-based initiatives, to raise the profile of our courses, increase enquiries and applications. A team player with an ability to prioritise and self-manage, you will have advanced planning and organisation skills, to contribute to a shared student recruitment vision. You will be flexible to work on occasional weekends and evenings, and travel to schools, to support events and activities. We are looking for two experienced professionals to join our team: One permanent contract working 37 hours per week. One fixed-term contract to cover a period of maternity leave which is anticipated to be for approximately 9 months.
