JOB OVERVIEW
The College of Engineering & Applied Science at the University of Cincinnati is accepting applications for a full-time HR Coordinator that will report to the Human Resources Director. The person in this role will support various departments and will serve as an information resource and consult with faculty, staff & students on HR policies, procedures, processes and diversity initiatives. The HR Coordinator position will ensure delivery of excellent customer service, strong communication, teamwork and collaboration in contributing to efforts to support and standardize processes and procedures. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including recruitment and onboarding activities, talent management, leave administration, compliance, record-keeping, file maintenance, HRIS entry and timekeeping.
This position will offer flexibility for a hybrid remote work option for applicants with a residence within the Cincinnati Tri-State Area. Hybrid remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*Will coordinate HR functions for an operating unit. *Work with Talent Acquisition on job postings, recruitment, and selection process. *Assist or coordinate payroll processing for organizational unit. *May act as Personnel Change Request (PCR) initiator for organizational unit. *Analyze various HR data for quality improvement recommendations. *Assist with implementing policies to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. *Assist with project management functions. *May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
REQUIRED EDUCATION
*Bachelor's Degree *Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED
*Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. *Familiarity within HRIS systems, e.g. SAP. *Prior college or university experience in human resources. *Familiarity with equal opportunity, diversity, and inclusion efforts. *Excellent verbal and written communication skills *Strong organizational and time management skills
