Do you desire to join a team of dedicated collaborative professionals and impact student mental health in higher education? We are seeking highly motivated individuals to become a part of our training program at the University of Cincinnati. 

 

The Division of Student Affairs, Counseling and Psychological Services is seeking to hire two (2) Clinical Fellows for a one year temporary appointment from this posting. 

 

The Clinical fellowship at University of Cincinnati Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) involves becoming a part of our energetic and collaborative team of mental health professionals and providing therapeutic support to a diverse student body. Our fellowship program provides an opportunity for individuals to integrate therapeutic skills and solidify their identity as mental health professionals. We seek candidates who demonstrate a clear interest and commitment to all dimensions of diversity, and whose clinical service, supervision, and outreach are infused with cultural awareness and responsiveness. Fellows will be involved in all aspects of our services, including providing individual and group counseling, crisis response services, outreach, consulting with students, parents, faculty, and staff, and building relationships with campus partners. CAPS values its fellows, welcoming them as fully functioning members of our team who enrich our center with their strengths, knowledge, and experiences. 

 

Minimum Requirements

*Master’s degree in counseling or clinical psychology, social work, or clinical counseling. *Requires an in-depth knowledge of providing counseling services in the field of counseling or clinical psychology, social work, or clinical counseling. *Good oral and written communication skills *Ability to work and collaborate effectively with students, faculty and staff from a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications

*Completion of all coursework for an APA accredited doctoral program in counseling or clinical psychology, a CACREP accredited master’s program in clinical counseling, or a CSWE accredited master’s program in social work.  *Completion of a clinical internship providing counseling services to a young adult/ college-aged population.  *Strong interpersonal, oral and written skills as well as a demonstrated openness to supervision and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues. *Experience in providing clinical counseling services and providing crisis intervention services with additional experience in psycho-educational programming for a diverse college-aged population.
