JOB OVERVIEW

The Department of Operations, Business Analytics, and Information Systems (OBAIS) in the Carl H. Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati (UC) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Information Systems (IS) assistant professor position beginning August 2022.

 

Cincinnati, home to many Fortune 500 companies, makes the Lindner College of Business the ideal setting in which to deliver academic excellence with an emphasis on experiential learning in a multi-disciplinary environment, adding real-world value to students and the communities they serve. UC is known for its educational excellence, innovative teaching, and real-world experience through its 100+ year-old cooperative education program, the first in the nation. The OBAIS department hosts vibrant undergrad and Ph.D. programs and two acclaimed Master's programs in Business Analytics and in Information Systems; enrollment in these programs and at UC has been increasing. The OBAIS faculty members are actively engaged in conducting high-impact research taking advantage of the opportunities afforded by UC's urban environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

*Teach IS courses at all levels of doctoral, master's, and undergraduate programs, such as Data Mining for Business Intelligence and Information Technology Management *Conduct and publish IS research in premier journals such as Management Information Systems Quarterly and Information Systems Research *Service obligations that would include supporting the department (e.g. by serving on committees) and the Information Systems community (e.g. offer reviews to support the journal review process)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Prior to the date of appointment, must have a Ph.D. in Information Systems, or a closely related area.
