Description
The Senior Learning Design Professional uses instructional design, cognitive psychology and adult learning theory to determine the appropriate solution to a knowledge or performance gap. The Senior Learning Design Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
Location: work at home anywhere
The Senior Learning Design Professional analyzes complex business problems and uses performance consulting strategies, cognitive psychology, adult learning theory and instructional design best practices to design appropriate solutions to solve the knowledge or performance gap. The Senior Learning Design Professional develops learning content, evaluates solutions, leads design project teams and partners with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to continuously improve results.
Conduct needs analysis with clients to determine whether learning solutions are necessary or relevant.
Designs solutions to solve for the learning gap and negotiates with business partners.
Develops content by writing storyboards, scripts, instructor and participant guides, eLearning, and mobile learning.
Collaborates with subject matter experts to gather information, define objectives, and validate the effectiveness and accuracy of content.
Writes measurable learning objectives and aligns performance assessments to measure training effectiveness.
Evaluate the success of training programs in terms of learning outcomes, performance change and business impact; identify trends and patterns in data.
Tracks and analyzes the training programs effectiveness by examining learner's satisfaction levels, proficiency testing, and job performance improvement.
Provides instruction and guidance to Facilitators. Knows how to use social media and collaborative tools to facilitate learning.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
5 or more years of experience as an Instructional Designer
Prior experience working with subject matter experts, leading learning project teams, using adult learning theory to create learning designs
Experience developing interactive, engaging eLearning and virtual instructor-led content
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Client/customer facing experience
Associates working in the state of Arizona must comply with the Tobacco Free Hiring Policy (see details below under Additional Information) and upon offer will be subjected to nicotine testing as part of a 10-panel drug test.
Desired Qualifications
Master's Degree in Learning, Education or related field
Experience using software such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Cornerstone or other LMS
Experience using performance consulting strategies, measuring at higher levels of evaluation, data visualization, and/or marketing and public relations
Work experience in a health care and / or insurance setting
Clinical licensure
