The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine at the University Of Cincinnati College of Medicine seeks applications for a faculty position at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level, specializing in pulmonary critical care or critical care medicine for our nocturnal Medical Intensive Care Unit coverage program.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants for this faculty position must have all of the following prior to effective date of appointment: Medical Degree or foreign equivalent; Ohio Medical License; Completion of a 3-year Internal Medicine Residency; completion of a 3-year ACGME (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education)-approved Fellowship in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine; Board Eligibility (BE) in Internal Medicine; and, BE in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine. Board Eligibility in each such specialty is defined as completion of the aforementioned respective Residency and Fellowship training.
The successful candidate will be assigned at least five (5) night shifts each month in our medical intensive care unit (MICU) at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The position can include additional night rotations and/or daytime assignments in the MICU, the medical stepdown unit, the outpatient clinics or the pulmonary consult services. Opportunities to receive additional training in clinical research may be available as part of the agreement. This individual will also participate in the teaching of UC medical students, and UC Medical Center residents and fellows.
