Social Work at Plymouth is currently rated as ninth in the UK according to the ‘Complete University Guide’. We are therefore seeking dynamic individuals with a passion for social work, and extensive leadership experience to build on this success, and support and inspire the next generation of social work professionals. You will work as a senior member of the Social Work team to provide high quality innovative support, teaching and research on our social work programmes. For the right candidate there is also the opportunity to lead the team as Academic Lead for Social Work, representing our programmes both within the University and to other external stakeholders both regionally, nationally, and globally. We are looking for individuals who will be able to make a contribution to research informed practice, to curriculum development and teaching, and with proven leadership skills. Registration with Social Work England is essential. Depending on the experience we will appoint at Grade 7-8 or 9. Position 1: Lecturer in Social Work – this is a fixed-term position and can be offered on either a full-time or part-time basis for 2 years to cover a period of absence. Position 2: Lecturer in Social Work or Academic Lead – this is a permanent position and can be offered on either a full-time or part-time basis.
