Job Description:
The Department of Biological and Physical Sciences at Assumption University seeks to hire one to three part-time adjunct instructors for the fall 2022 semester. The department needs to staff one section of BIO110 Nutrition, one section of BIO210L: Genetics Laboratory, and one section of BIO250L: Microbiology Laboratory. BIO 110 Nutrition is an integrated lecture-laboratory course serving non-science majors in the core curriculum and is capped at 21 students. BIO210L and BIO250L are laboratories in courses for biology and nursing majors. The labs are capped at 20 students. Class meetings run from August 24 to December 10, which includes the final exam week.

Adjuncts are welcomed as important contributors to the department, to our students, and are provided with office space, email, voicemail, support for using our learning management system (Brightspace), and other resources needed for quality teaching. Successful candidates may have the possibility of teaching additional courses in subsequent semesters.
Requirements:
Applicants must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the University as well as show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption University.
Applicants should have a PhD in Biology or a related field. ABD graduate students with prior teaching experience will also be considered.
