Hoxworth Blood Center, University of Cincinnati is seeking an academic physician at the Assistant or Associate or Full Professor level, commensurate with credentials.
The candidate is expected to continue to advance the clinical program of excellence in Blood Banking and Transfusion Medicine, with an emphasis on Apheresis procedures, both for therapeutic purposes and for cell collections in patients and healthy subjects. The candidate will help lead clinically focused research and teaching of blood banking and transfusion medicine. The position also provides consultations for medical assistance and the counselling of innovative approaches to hematotherapies.
The position interacts with the Chief Medical Officer and the Research Division Director of Hoxworth Blood Center.
The selected candidate will work in an environment of respectful, constructive and collaborative style, guided by local, state and national regulations and the objectives of the Hoxworth Blood Center and the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine.
Hoxworth Blood Center is owned and operated by the University of Cincinnati. Hoxworth Blood Center is one of the oldest Blood Centers in the United States of America and is dedicated to the promotion of research and education in transfusion medicine and cell therapies.
Certification/Licenses: MD or MD/PhD, licensed or eligible to be licensed in the State of Ohio, board certified or eligible in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine.
Salary: Commensurate with credentials and experience.
