Job Description:
The Women's Studies Program at Assumption University seeks to hire a part-time adjunct instructor to teach two sections of WMS-285, Introduction to Women's Studies: Images of Women in America, for the Fall 2022 semester. The classes are scheduled to be taught in person at Assumption University in Worcester, MA. The section of the class will meet on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 12:30-1:20 and 1:30-2:20. When fully enrolled, the sections may have up to 22 students per section. There are no prerequisites for this course, which is cross-listed in English, Comparative Literature, History, Psychology, and Sociology.
Requirements:
Applicants must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the University as well as show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption University. Candidates with a PhD in Women's Studies or a related field, including any of the cross-listed disciplines, are especially encouraged to apply, but ABD graduate students with prior teaching experience will also be considered.
