Under general supervision, the Administrative Analyst for the Athletics Director provides agile, proactive, reflective, strategic, and highly skilled support to the Athletic Director (AD), by completing complex administrative duties that require analytical thinking and a thorough knowledge of the University. The incumbent demonstrates a wide range of advanced professional skills and abilities in all aspects of the work to ensure the AD is able to focus on priorities and maintain a high level of productivity in the demanding and rapid changing athletic work context.
• Performs administrative work in the support of a large and complex department that has an impact on the overall Athletics Administration operation.
• Balances priorities, deadlines, project schedules, and other assignments while exercising tact, good judgment, and professionalism at all times.
• Coordinates the daily flow of the AD schedule, anticipates needs, mitigates conflicts, and communicates on behalf of the AD with high-ranking University colleagues and CSU officials.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in a job-related field.
• Equivalent to three (3) years of full-time, progressively responsible technical, analytical, or administrative experience.
• Additional experience in job-related field may be substituted for up to two years of the required education, on a year for year basis.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
• Working knowledge of general practices, program, and/or administrative specialty and working knowledge of operational analysis and techniques.
• Ability and specialized skills to expertly investigate and analyze problems with a broad administrative impact and implications.
• Ability to: oversee and/or train others and provide lead work direction; interpret, and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures to develop conclusions and make recommendations; compile, write and present reports related to program or administrative specialty; and communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
• The university offers an excellent benefits package, including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, retirement & savings, tuition waiver and more.
• Classification / grade: 1038 / Admin Analyst/Spclst 12 Mo / 2
• The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $3987 - $5000, dependent upon qualifications and experience. The salary range for this classification is: $3987 - $7051 per month.
• HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday; may include evenings and weekends.
• REG: This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period.
