The Department of Political Science invites applications for a full-time Educator-Assistant Professor with specific focus on the subfield of Law and Society. The successful candidate will be expected to teach and advise within a new multidisciplinary undergraduate degree in Law and Society This major is housed in the Department of Political Science and includes partnering with our School of Law. The workload load for our Educator-Assistant Professor, which is a full-time teaching position within a promotion track, includes a 3-3 semester course offering and advising. Educator-Assistant Professors are expected to maintain a commitment to professional development that ensures excellence in their pedagogy. The position will also contribute to the other majors and undergraduate certificates of the Department.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated teaching experience in Introduction to Political Theory, Introduction to Legal Studies, Judicial Process, Constitutional Law, American Political Theory, Public Opinion, and a record of teaching and advising excellence in areas relevant to Law and Society and political theory.
Candidates must have a completed PhD before the appointment starts on August 15, 2020.
