GI Faculty MemberAssistant/Associate/Full ProfessorTexas Tech University Health Sciences Center-LubbockrnrnRank of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor and applicable salary are dependent upon candidate’s qualifications and experience.Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:rnrnrnInpatient GIrnrnrnOutpatient GIrnrnrnSupervise, teach, and mentor fellows in the GI fellowship and other learners such as students and residents on the GI servicernrnrnConduct and publish peer reviewed clinical research in order to meet ACGME scholarly activity requirements.rnrnrnrnrnOccasional DutiesrnrnLectures and conferences in gastroenterology and internal medicine.rnOutpatient/inpatient clinical practice to include the digestive diseases center and inpatient gastroenterology and internal medicine rotations.rnSome work within the correctional system may be required.rnrnrnrnRequired QualificationsrnMD, MBBS, or DO degree required.rnrnrnPreferred QualificationsrnrnBoard certified in Internal Medicine.rnBoard certified in Gastroenterology.rnHave a medical license in State of Texas or be eligible to obtain a medical license in Texas.rnRecord of effectiveness as a teacher.rnA record of peer-reviewed publications and presentations.rnA record of academically related public service.rnExcellent interpersonal and mentoring skills.rnA record of administration and leadership.rnrnrnrnCompensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan.
