Description:
The School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences is a large, interdisciplinary School with an enviable record of success. Our research and teaching activities address issues of sustainability on land and in the marine environment, and we are seeking to appoint an excellent candidate capable of advancing our inter-disciplinary activities. You will deliver teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level in engineering geology, as well as more general teaching across the earth and environmental sciences degree programmes. The role includes the programme management of our new MSc in Environmental and Engineering Geology, and research / knowledge exchange with industry. The School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences comprises nearly 60 academic staff and enjoys excellent support from well-resourced laboratory facilities (including 16 technicians). You should have a PhD or equivalent in geosciences or a related discipline with a specialism in engineering geoscience. Please demonstrate how you meet the essential criteria outlined in the knowledge, qualifications, training and experience elements of the job description in your application.
