and Occupational Sciences
in the College of Health is seeking applications for a
Speech-Language Pathology Program Grant Coordinator
to join their team. This position is responsible for the administrative management of the complex clinical placement process for the graduate students in the School of Speech, Language, Hearing, and Occupational Sciences (SLHOS) following the professional standards established by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the accreditation requirements of the Council on Academic Accreditation for Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA). There is a significant degree of initiative and independence needed in performing the tasks of this position.
Key duties and responsibilities of this position include:
Identify, establish, and arrange clinical practicum sites in settings across the country - matching the clinical education requirements for graduate students who each need placements in three different settings, working with pediatric and adult clients, across nine disorder conditions to provide diagnostic and treatment services.
Possessing or obtaining an exceptional expertise of web-based program Calipso
Training all students and supervisors in accurate use of Calipso and monitoring their accuracy and timeliness.
Generating and updating a wide range of reports and databases to document academic and clinical competencies for department programming and accreditation requirements.
Managing clinic compliance documentation management for clinical educators and the graduate student clinicians they supervise (e.g., CPR, immunizations, HIPAA, Blood Borne Pathogen training, etc.).
Management of records within the wider academic unit for the speech-language pathology (SLP) master’s (clinical training) program, clerical duties associated with both internal and external clinical rotations and supervisor/facility support, and other levels that require clinical hours accruement.
Managing the financial aspect of the Office of Public Instruction project with budget preparation and management as well as coordinating the distinct conditions of nearly 200 individual Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) and the types of compensation provided to the practicum supervisors.
Planning, organizing, and executing a yearly training opportunity with national speaker(s) for clinical educators. Assist in organizing and attending conferences and workshops related to the DeWit RiteCare Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic
Managing and curating the SLP master’s program and clinic webpages and marketing endeavors, social media
Provide additional program and School support as needed.

Position Details
Position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, Letter of Appointment and includes a comprehensive and competitive benefits package

Salary for this position is $37,080 per year commensurate with qualifications.
Required Skills
Ability to develop and in-depth understanding and use of a data management and documentation system with regular updates
Ability to interact productively and professionally with faculty, administrators, students, and external sites
Advanced proficiency in using personal computers, including email, internet, Microsoft Excel, and website maintenance
Communicative written composition, editing, and proofreading skills
Ability to adapt, meet challenges, and learn new skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information in compliance with FERPA for student protections and HIPAA for clinical application
Ability to complete tasks accurately with attention to detail and to meet deadlines in a busy environment
Familiarity working with grants.
Working knowledge of stipend pay systems.
Ability to develop and expand outreach efforts across state.
Evidence of knowledge translation for communication throughout state.
Active knowledge of speech-language pathology.
Required Experience
High school diploma, as well as, at least two (2) years of professional experience working in an office environment; or any combination of experience and education that would provide the competencies required to successfully discharge the essential duties assigned to this position.
Experience with data management
Experience in organizational and event planning

Faculty foster and enjoy interprofessional research and training collaborations across the United States, Montana, and University of Montana Campus.
