Location
Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Job Summary
This Compensation Specialist will perform work under direct supervision, handle basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
This position will be charged with providing support for wage and salary programs, position audits, jobs evaluations, and recommending action(s) concerning appropriate compensation levels. This position may develop and revise job descriptions as well as assist with conducting wage and salary surveys and market analyses. The Specialist will assist with processing wage and salary changes resulting from merit increases, promotions or other job changes, or market adjustments. Additionally, this position will assist in determining eligibility for participation in compensation programs, such as merit increase plans, monitoring programs for compliance with federal, state, and local legislation, and may provide information to payroll department as needed.
Responsibilities
Participates in salary surveys, completes survey questionnaires, and researches additional sources of quality market data
Assists in revising compensation policies and procedures by reviewing and recommending changes to improve the efficiency and quality of their administration
Ensures the completeness and accuracy of employee transactions and evaluation forms
Assists in determining appropriate sources of salary survey and salary budget information
Assists and collaborates, as appropriate, in the planning, coordination, facilitation, administration, and reporting of the annual salary review program for regular staff employees
Completes job-related projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited institution of higher learning
Required Experience
Two (2) years of Human Resources experience
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred
PHR, SPHR, SHRM CP or SHRM SCP preferred

Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
