The School of Public Affairs in the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions at Arizona State University is seeking to attract an active, culturally and academically diverse pool of part-time, non-tenure track Faculty Associates to teach in our baccalaureate and graduate programs, including our BS in Public Service and Public Policy, BS in Urban and Metropolitan Studies, undergraduate certificate program for the Next Generation Service Corps, MPA, MPP, and Executive MPA programs. Faculty Associate positions are one semester, non-benefits-eligible, fixed-term appointments with no tenure implications, not to exceed .40FTE. The number of courses is contingent upon needs, funding and sufficient enrollment. Salary is based upon qualifications and assigned teaching load. Individuals employed as Faculty Associates may not hold multiple, non-benefits eligible appointments at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.

Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate(s) will teach in-person or online courses, prepare course materials, evaluate student work, and assist students.
Required Qualifications:
An earned master’s degree by time of appointment in Public Administration or Public Policy OR
An earned graduate degree from a related field from an accredited institution by time of appointment with content expertise in topics relevant to Public Administration, Public Policy, Leadership, Nonprofit Management, Economics, and Statistics, OR
An earned bachelor’s degree from a related field from an accredited institution by time of appointment with 5 years of professional experience in the public/nonprofit sector.
Desired Qualifications:
2 years full-time relevant clinical/professional experience in the public/nonprofit sector, post graduate degree
Experience working across multiple sectors, especially in leadership capacities
Prior teaching and/or training experience, higher education teaching experience is preferred
Demonstrate commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and student success as well as working with broadly diverse majors and student populations
Experience with technology/course management systems such as Canvas
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Expertise in one or more of the following content areas:
Organizational Behavior
Public Administration
Public Budgeting or Finance
Public HR Management
Public and/or Cross Sector Leadership
Public Policy Analysis
Public Sector Economics
Public Service Ethics
Research Methods
Statistical Analysis
Urban Studies
