General Description
The purpose of this position is to provide assistance and support related to basic customer inquiries such as computer systems or software, audio-visual, wireless, instructional technologies, circulation of library materials and assistance in utilizing library resources.
This is accomplished by: responding to customer needs via email, phone calls, and walk-in appointments from faculty, staff and students, providing efficient and friendly customer service at all times, accurately documenting, tracking, and monitoring issues to ensure a timely resolution, escalating problems to next level of support when appropriate, following-up with customers in a timely manner, scheduling and reserving circulating equipment and ensure that equipment is in working order, providing accurate and complete descriptions of incidents, service requests and problems within the ticketing system, becoming familiar with new technologies and assist others who are using new technology, providing basic device (computer and tablet) support for faculty, staff and students, maintaining open communication with customers during the problem resolution process, answering basic reference questions and provide research assistance with library databases and online library resources, providing basic end-user training to faculty, staff and students, accessing the college knowledge base, FAQ's and online tutorials for faculty, staff, and students.
Qualifications: Education
High school diploma or equivalent required and at least 18 years of age. Must be a current Northeast Student to apply.
Qualification:Experience
1 year of technology or customer service experience preferred, but not required.
