An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic research nurse or research practitioner to join our team of internationally recognised researchers within the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine (CVM). If successful you will help to join an established group of cardiac research nurses/practitioners and work alongside research staff from across the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine to help to deliver existing studies (academic observational studies and commercial/academic clinical trials), as well as help setup new studies that run through the Oxford Centre for Clinical Magnetic Resonance (OCMR) and the Cardiovascular Clinical Research Facility (CCRF) located within the John Radcliffe Hospital.
You will be allocated to manage a designated portfolio of (cardiac and/or imaging) studies, as well as provide assistance or cover for other CVM studies or service needs, where possible and on the direction of the lead research nurse. Some key areas of your role will include the identification of potential participants for study enrolment, informed consent, clinical data collection and management, sample collection and the safe and accurate processing of blood samples in an onsite laboratory.
You will undertake safe, good quality, participant focused research in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and the Research Governance Framework for Health and Care.
You will need to hold a Degree in relevant subject e.g. Biological Sciences. Nurse applicants must be registered with the NMC, part 1 (adult). Please state PIN number, NMC entry date and revalidation date on application. Previous experience of working on clinical research studies/ clinical trials is desirable.
