The
Admissions Office
invites applications for an
Administration Associate III
to oversee all administrative assistant functions within **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Admissions Office. This employee will report to the Assistant Director for Events and Experience and must provide exceptional front-line customer service to prospective and current students, their families and internal UM departments. Responsibilities and duties for this position include, but aren’t limited to:
Supporting and Maintaining Processes within the Admissions Office:
Answering phones and ensuring callers’ inquiries are answered and/or routed to the proper employee in order to ensure that inquiries are addressed in a timely and accurate manner.
Monitoring, sorting and replying to the admission’s email account.
Managing and responding to chat functions on the Admissions webpage.
Monitoring and maintaining outgoing mail for Admissions, including brochures, campus visit materials, RFI packages and admission packages.
Ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Providing general Office Support:
Assisting in the hiring and task management of student workers.
Collaborating closely with the Admissions recruitment staff and student workers.
Monitoring office supplies and functions.
Ensuring reordering and restocking when inventory is low.
Following up, in a timely manner, on unusual or detailed information requests.
Accurately completing data entry and database edits.
Maintaining contact records in CRM.
This position requires incumbent to develop a working knowledge of curricular and co-curricular student experience at UM. This individual will also gain a strong grasp of enrollment data specific to UM and will learn to be proficient in Slate CRM.
Required Skills:
Excellent interpersonal skills (particularly when dealing with members of the public, including students and their families).
Exceptional communication skills (including both oral and written communication).
Exceptional time management skills.
Highly developed organizational skills.
Skills required to proficiently and productively use commonly utilized office software (such as Microsoft Office and specific office equipment, such as a copier fax machine, etc.).
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Minimum Required Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and at least three (3) years of directly related professional work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience that would provide the competencies required to successfully discharge the essential duties assigned to this role.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous work experience in either an admissions or marketing professional setting.
Ability to work with college students both as employees and guests.
