JOB OVERVIEW
UC is one of the largest employers in the Cincinnati region, employing over 15,000 full time and part time faculty, staff and student workers. The College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases is looking for an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Duties for the Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine in IM-Infectious Diseases will include contributing to the clinical/patient care, research and teaching missions of the division.
Clinical/patient care responsibilities:
*Providing general infectious disease consultations of approximately 26 weeks per year and 4 outpatient ambulatory clinics per week. *Encompass an active role in departmental fellowship programs, as well as UC Medical Center (UCMC) resident and UC medical student teaching.
Teaching duties will include:
*Precepting of UCMC fellows and residents and UC medical students in office-based practice. *Providing lectures or leading small group discussions as part of the College of Medicine or UCMC residency curriculum, clinical case conferences, core curricula, and journal clubs. *Participating in departmental and/or divisional service meetings and conferences.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Prior to effective date of appointment, must have:
*MD or DO degree. *Completed 3-year Internal Medicine residency. *Completed 2-year Infectious Disease fellowship training. *Current OH medical license.
