The SQL Database Administrator will:
1. Provide operational support (e.g., database, operating system, security, hardware, printing, user liaison) of the College’s administrative information system.
2. Perform database and server administration on any or all enterprise servers and workstation platforms.
3. Perform the installation and troubleshooting of new and previously installed enterprise server hardware and software.
4. Perform software updates installation and testing as prescribed by the College’s administrative systems’ vendors.
5. Provide enterprise users with tier 2 help desk support.
6. Provide SQL database and administration training.
Requirements:
Required:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2 years experience or 5 years direct experience working with Microsoft SQL.
Minimum 2 years experience as a SQL database administrator.
Must have working knowledge of SQL server and database administration.
Working knowledge of Microsoft tools.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work with a significant level of detail.
Preferred:
Knowledge of Unidata database.
Knowledge of Ellucian (previously Datatel) Colleague enterprise application.
