Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations for Student Services, the Assistant Director of Assessment and Special Projects builds, supports, and sustains a culture of strategic analysis and informed decision-making by collecting, analyzing, translating, and communicating data from key operational areas within Students Services. The Assistant Director also provides strategic support of student success goals, leading efforts in divisional professional development, undergraduate, graduate student services and parent and family programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assess and produce timely, relevant, standard, or custom information (reports, charts, graphs and tables) from structured and unstructured data sources by querying data repositories. Generate reports for internal and external audiences, including translating data from analytics platforms within Student Services. Make formal and informal presentations, infographics, and reports (including annual report) on findings to applicable management or other internal and external campus members. Collaborates with University Relations to maintain Student Services calendar and website.
Serves as lead in divisional and university-wide assessment committees. Assist with designing and analyzing quantitative and qualitative instruments and processes appropriate for data collection for the purpose of making improvements to programming and processes. Creates, maintains, manage assessment calendar. Assists with any technical student services projects, platforms, and programs.
Serves as key organizational lead in divisional professional development, including planning and coordinating meetings, events, and programs.
Services as liaison for special projects and programs that support student success, including, but not limited to undergraduate, graduate student services and parent and family programs, large University events and programs. Participates in cross campus committees.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.
3-5 years of relevant work experience with evidence of service excellence standards.
High customer service acumen.
Event programming, project management, and quantitative/qualitative analysis experience.
Knowledge of SPSS, Excel, Qualtrics, and Ellucian Banner.
Ability to generate customized reports, infographics, and presentations.
Ability to coordinate multiple projects, collaborate with team members, and communicate effectively.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree.
Experience in higher education.
Knowledge of Oracle SQL.
