. This position will report to the Assistant Athletic Director, Marketing and Community Relations. The person assigned to this position is responsible for the supervision of cheer coaches and spirit squad members.
This position will Serve as Social Media Coordinator to create and implement a digital media plan for main Montana Grizzlies Athletics accounts, collaborate with members of marketing and communications teams to post, monitor accounts, assist with creating quality content and work to grow following on all outlets. This position will manage day to day digital content and interaction with fans with assistance from marketing & communications teams.
The Marketing and Social Media Coordinator will assist the Asst. AD and marketing team with graphic design for various purposes, primarily digital media content. Responsible for Griz Vision graphics, including but not limited to Birthday/Anniversary announcements and static display ads.
The Marketing and Social Media Coordinator will serve as marketing director for soccer. This position works independently and has the authority to make decisions on the direction for the sports s/he oversees. The person in this position sets timelines, short-term and long-term goals and is responsible for game day management and promotion activation for assigned sport. In the development of those goals, the primary focus is to increase the public’s exposure to Grizzly soccer, increase attendance and revenue generated and to create a game atmosphere that is exciting. That in turn raises awareness of Grizzly Athletics in general, and the broader University campus. This position will supervise intern team at soccer games.
This position is responsible for managing the Grizzly Athletics Hall of Champions (HOC) space located in the Adam Center. The position will be the primary contact for all items concerning the HOC. This includes keeping the HOC up to date, ensuring the accuracy of its contents and making sure the HOC is clean and in good repair. For these responsibilities, the person in this position reports to the Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations and will work closely with Internal Operations and Sport Information staff in order to accomplish the tasks outline above.
The Marketing and Social Media Coordinator will serve as the Spirit Squad Director. Responsibilities include: supervision of the two cheer coaches; development and coordination of annual budget; uniform ordering and inventory; conflict resolution and discipline (as needed) of spirit squad members; coordinate all spirit squad travel; final approval of practice/participation schedules.
Other duties and responsibilities include:
Serve as the Donations coordinator; working with compliance to ensure all donation requests are allowable and working with requestors to fulfill donation requests.
Serve as the main point of contact for radio advertising.
Football: Assist the Assistant Athletic Director as needed.
Men’s & Women’s Basketball: This position will assist the Assistant Athletic Director and the Asst. Marketing Director with men’s and women’s basketball in all aspects of marketing and game day operations in those sports. The person in this position works collaboratively with the Assistant AD and Asst. Marketing Director to set and implement goals and timelines.
Email Newsletters: This position will assist the Director as needed with content and graphic design for eblasts.
Web Content: This position will assist with gogriz.com updates as needed.
Poster Distribution: This position will be the point person for poster and schedule card distribution to local businesses and fulfilling requests with the assistance of interns.
Athletic Department employees and those University employees outside the Athletic Department with NCAA rules compliance responsibilities are subject at all times to NCAA Bylaws 10.1 and 11.1 regarding ethical conduct and the responsibility to positively contribute to a campus culture of NCAA rules compliance. Position Details
Position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, Letter of Appointment and includes a comprehensive and competitive benefits package
