Helena College is seeking qualified applicants who wish to become part of a dynamic and creative team for 3 full-time positions as a Cosmetology Instructor.

The Cosmetology program at Helena College is a 4-semester program scheduled to begin in January 2024, with courses offered Tuesday-Saturday. The program provides students the opportunity to earn an Associate Degree while preparing them to apply for their Cosmetologist license through the Montana State Board of Barbers and Cosmetologists. Students in the program will be prepared to work with all hair types and textures, better preparing them to serve a diverse community. New students will be accepted into the program in the fall, spring, and summer semesters.
Cosmetology instructors will instruct, lead, mentor, and motivate students to achieve success, preparing them for their licensure exam and future career in the field. Instructors will teach both in the classroom and in the salon, which will be open to the Helena community. The three instructors will collaborate with each other and with the Division Director to ensure the program is meeting the requirements set forth by the Montana Board of Barbers and Cosmetologists while providing the highest quality education for the students. This is an excellent opportunity to help teach and guide the next generation of cosmetologists in Helena.
Instructors at Helena College are contracted to teach two of the three semesters each academic year (fall, spring, and summer), with one semester off-contract each year. Each instructor in the program will be contracted for two different semesters—one instructor for fall and spring, one instructor for spring and summer, and one instructor for summer and fall.
